Ain’t Old Enough To Be A Bluesman
Well I woke up in the middle of the night.
I can not sleep ’cause something bothers me.
Everything’s alright, everything okay.
But I worry, and woke up anyway.
Some years ago i had the honor to meet the great Louisiana Red.
When I worry, i think of what he said, i think of what he said before i head to bed.
”Son, you ain’t old enough to be a blues man.”
So i keep no trouble in my heart now on.
When I woke up in the middle of the night.
I saw a dream of a deep deep mine.
Thousand directions to go, non of them feels my own
I worry where to go on.
Some years ago I had the honor to meet the great Louisiana Red
When I worry, i think of what he said, i think of what he said before i head to bed
”Son, you ain’t old enough to be a blues man”
So i keep no trouble in my heart now on.
