I have been repeating the same mistake
Gonna make a change for my own sake
Making me feel like I’m wooden from the inside

But I want to have that too, and you
keep making me feel like I’m ugly from the inside out

You’re throwing me off and on
I don’t know what is going on
For you it’s not a big deal
But you have no idea
how you make people feel

You have been repeating the same old game
When somebody gets close you start to make the great escape
And I have been repeating my same mistake
I’m gonna make a change for my own sake
You keep making me feel like I’m stolen from the inside out

I know we are much alike
I know how it feels like to be terrified
“This is where I want to be,
I don’t need anybody to mess me up”
So you go and mess things up and

Throw your hands up in the air
Say that you don’t care

Sometimes it sort of comes from somewhere else, not from you at all. I might compare it to picking the notes like picking the best berries from the forests. That feels awesome. Sometimes (most of the time) it is the most frustrating thing. You get one idea. And then you get no more, haha! Then it feels like work and it is still enjoyable but very challenging to get over blocks. Getting over stuff is a part of life and it applies to songwriting too.
